BATON ROUGE - Former LSU All-American Brittany Mack returned to the pitching circle as a member of the USSSA Florida Pride and recorded four strikeouts over four-plus innings in a rain-shortened contest Saturday at Tiger Park.

Mack will return to the circle and is in-line for the win as the Pride will carry a 7-3 lead to the top of the 5th inning when play resumes Sunday at 12:30 p.m. followed by the finale of the four-game series at 2:05 p.m.

The Pride wiped away a 2-0 deficit in the third inning by scoring a pair of runs on wild pitches from Carolina hurler Sara Plourde.

The Pride battled back from a 3-2 hole and exploded for five runs during the fourth inning sparked by Tonya Callahan's three-run blast onto the left field berm. Three batters later, Caitlin Lowe ripped a two-run single through the middle to make it 7-3.

After Friday's series opener, Mack was honored by LSU and National Pro Fastpitch with a graphic recognizing her accomplishment as the program's first No. 1 pick in the NPF's 2012 draft in March. The graphic will be installed and displayed on the Tiger Park concourse.
