AWENDAW, S.C. - Senior Sang Yi showed his All-America form once again while continuing his impressive run with a fourth-straight top-10 finish in leading the 18th-ranked LSU men's golf team during Tuesday's final round at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate held this week at Bulls Bay Golf Club.

After opening the championship with scores of 2-under 70 in the first round and 3-under 69 in the second round, Yi wrapped up the event with a 3-over par 75 in the final round to finish in a tie for fifth place with the final leaderboard for his fourth-straight top-10 finish this spring.

Sophomore Andrew Presley added a top-10 finish of his own while tying for ninth place with an even-par 216 in three rounds, including a matching score of 3-over par 75 during Tuesday's action.

The duo helped lead the Tigers to a fifth-place finish in the 15-team field after winning back-to-back team championships in 2010 and 2011. The Tigers wrapped up the week with a team score of 14-over 302 for a 54-hole score of 11-over par 875 en route to a fifth-place finish in the final standings.

The No. 3-ranked Auburn Tigers scored a decisive nine-shot victory for the team championship with their 54-hole team score of 10-under par 854 at the par-72 Bulls Bay Golf Club, including a 6-over par 294 during Tuesday's action. The 24th-ranked Virginia Cavaliers followed in second place overall with a score of 1-under 863, while the 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies finished in third place at 2-over 866. Rounding out the top five of the final team standings was Kentucky in fourth place at 5-over par 869.

With his performance, Yi earned his fourth-straight top-10 finish in LSU's four tournaments this spring as he now owns four top-five finishes and six top-10 finishes in eight starts this season.

After opening the spring season by tying for fourth place overall at the John Hayt Invitational, Yi has now finished in second place at the Louisiana Classics, in a tie for ninth place at the Argent Financial Classic and in a tie for fifth place at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in successive starts.

Presley is in the midst of an impressive streak of his own as he has earned three-straight top-10 finishes in the spring after capturing his first collegiate victory at the Louisiana Classics three weeks ago. He has also tied for sixth place overall at the Argent Financial Classic before tying for ninth place in the final standing at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate following Tuesday's final round.

Senior Austin Gutgsell and freshman Curtis Thompson added matching scores of 4-over 76 toward LSU's team total during Tuesday's final round. Gutgsell ended the day in a tie for 29th place at 7-over 223, while Thompson finished in 63rd place overall with a 54-hole score of 16-over 232.

After opening with a 2-under 70 on Sunday and 4-over 76 on Monday, sophomore Smylie Kaufman had a 11-over 83 on Tuesday to fall into a tie for 56th place in the final standings at 13-over 229.

The Tigers return to action this weekend as they wrap up the regular season while play hosting this year's LSU National Invitational being held Saturday and Sunday at the University Club in Baton Rouge. That is the last opportunity for the team to prepare for the 2012 postseason as the SEC Men's Golf Championship is set for April 20-22 at the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga.
