Women's Basketball Ready for Annual Pink Game
BATON ROUGE - An annual Maravich Center tradition continues at 2 p.m. Sunday as the LSU women's basketball team recognizes breast cancer awareness in the Pink Game when the Lady Tigers host Auburn. General admission tickets are available for only $1.
All fans are encouraged to wear pink and join in the cause. Free LSU Lady Tigers pink t-shirts will be placed on seats in the lower bowl of the arena.
Tickets are available now at www.LSUtix.net or by calling the LSU Athletic Ticket Office at (225) 578-2184. On gameday, tickets go on sale at the Maravich Center at 12:30 p.m.
Nickelodeon's "Dora The Explorer" will be on hand prior to the game to meet fans and children from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the upper concourse of the Maravich Center. "Dora the Explorer" is brought to you by the LSU Team Corporate partner and game sponsor Verizon.
In addition, LSU will pay tribute to breast cancer survivors with a "Parade of Survivors" during halftime festivities. Survivors interested in participating are asked to contact the LSU Marketing and Promotions Office at (225) 578-8960.
The Lady Tigers will pay tribute to breast cancer awareness by wearing specially designed Nike pink uniforms with pink shoes. LSU players will participate in a postgame autograph session at the south end of the upper concourse of the Maravich Center.
LSU is coming off its fourth straight win, snapping Arkansas' eight-game win streak in Fayetteville on Thursday. The Lady Tigers sit at 18-8 overall and 8-5 in Southeastern Conference play with three games remaining. LSU is a tie for fourth place in the league standings.
