BATON ROUGE - The LSU Sports Information Office and the LSU Publications Office captured four "Best in Nation" awards as part of the eight honors bestowed on them in the 2010-11 CoSIDA Publications Contests announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors Association.
It marks the fourth-straight year that LSU has had at least six citations from CoSIDA in the contest.
The football poster was put together by Jason Feirman, the LSU Athletics Publications Director, along with Associate AD/SID Michael Bonnette and chief photographer Steve Franz. Kenli Langlois supervised the publication of the winning soccer poster with photographer Chris Parent and SID Will Stafford.
Baseball's best cover was put together by Krystal Bennett along with Senior Associate SID Bill Franques and photographer Franz, while the track and field best cover and guide was also supervised by Bennett along with SID Stafford and photographer Parent.
The second in the nation softball guide was produced by Courtney Wilburn with SID Matt Dunaway and photographer Franz. Assisting Bonnette on the writing of the third in the nation football guide was Associate SID Bill Martin.
The third in the nation baseball media guide was produced by Bennett and written by Franques, with editorial assistance from student assistant SID Jesse Delerno and photography by Franz.
In the last four years, LSU Publications and the LSU Sports Information Office have earned 39 citations from CoSIDA including 12 Best in Nation Awards.
