BRISTOL, Conn. -- LSU senior quarterback Jordan Jefferson will spend Thursday at the ESPN Headquarters in Bristol, Conn., appearing on various ESPN shows and platforms throughout the day as part of the network's "car wash."

The ESPN "car wash" for Jefferson gets underway at 9:50 a.m. CT with an appearance on ESPN First Take, which will air on ESPN News. Jefferson will also participate in the network's social and digital media platforms, including an appearance for ESPN Rise Magazine's official website.

"I am excited about representing our team with this opportunity," said Jefferson Tuesday morning. "We had a great spring and we have worked very hard this offseason as a team. I can't wait until camp starts and the start of my senior year. I know our fans are just as excited with the season right around the corner."

After lunch in the ESPN cafeteria and an opportunity to visit with ESPN personalities, Jefferson will conduct an ESPN.com chat at noon CT followed by a live interview on the Scott Van Pelt ESPN Radio show at 12:45 p.m. CT. The "SVP show" also airs tape delayed on ESPNU at 2 p.m. CT. To access the ESPN.com chat, visit www.espn.com/sportsnation/chats.

Later in the day, Jefferson will join Erin Andrews on the set of College Football Live followed by a live interview on ESPN SportsCenter at 2:20 p.m. CT. College Football Live airs at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and re-airs at 3 p.m. CT on ESPNU. SportsCenter is scheduled to air on ESPN but could be shifted to ESPN News due to the network's golf coverage of the U.S. Open.

Throughout the day, Jefferson will be tweeting from www.Twitter.com/LSUFball. Fans can also follow Jefferson's day at ESPN at www.Facebook.com/LSUFootball.

Jefferson brings a 20-7 career record as a starter into the 2011 season and he has a chance at becoming one of the winningest quarterbacks in school history. In 32 career games, he has thrown for 3,996 yards and completed 336-of-578 passes with 28 TDs.

Jefferson has accounted for 37 touchdowns during his career - 28 passing and nine rushing. Last season, he shattered the LSU single-season record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 450.

Jefferson and the Tigers open the 2011 campaign under the national spotlight as LSU takes on Oregon on Sept. 3 from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT live on ABC. ESPN's popular "College Gameday" show will originate from Cowboys Stadium earlier in the day.
