BATON ROUGE - LSU safety Craig Loston and defensive tackle Chris Davenport spoke to students at Mayfair Middle School last Friday as the students prepared to take their State Leap Test over the previous week.

Loston and Davenport spoke at a pep rally, and gave the students encouragement and advice in preparing for their exams. Davenport said he hopes the students found his visit helpful in preparing for their Leap Test, and enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the middle school students.

"I enjoyed the community service and was glad that I had an opportunity to encourage the students and give them advice, so that they can be successful on their future endeavors."

Loston and Davenport are entering their sophomore season as Tigers. The LSU football team finished with a 10-2 record last season, and kicks off the coming season against Oregon September 3 in Cowboy Stadium.
