2013 Second Team All-SEC (AP, Coaches)

CAREER
Played in 40 games with 16 starts at defensive tackle … Started 13 games as a junior, in what was his final year with the Tigers … Opted to forgo senior season and declared for the 2014 NFL Draft following the Outback Bowl in January … Finished career with 77 tackles, 22.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks … Earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2013 … Clocked at 4.7 in the 40-yard dash … Lost 40 pounds since his freshman season when he played at 330 pounds.

JUNIOR SEASON (2013)
Played in 13 games with 13 starts at defensive tackle for the Tigers … Earned second team All-SEC honors from both the AP and the SEC Coaches after recording 35 tackles, a team-best 9.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks … Added three quarterback hurries and intercepted a pass (vs. Georgia) … Tied career-high with five tackles to go along with one sack (-5 yards) and a tackle for a 3-yard loss in road win over Mississippi State … Followed that with three tackles, including a sack for a 9-yard loss in win over Florida … Other sack went for a 5-yards loss vs. Furman … Had only interception of career vs. Georgia … Closed out career with three tackles, including 2.0 for losses, in Outback Bowl win over Iowa … Anchored an LSU defense that limited Iowa to just 11 first downs and 233 total yards (76 rushing, 157 passing) in Outback Bowl … For year, LSU ranked No. 3 in the SEC in total defense and No.5 in the league in rushing defense.
