QB Garrett to Leave Football Program

BATON ROUGE - Backup quarterback Chris Garrett is transferring from LSU, head coach Les Miles announced on Friday. 

Garrett, who just completed his first year with the Tigers, would have been a redshirt freshman for LSU in 2010. Garrett, a native of Tupelo, Miss., didn't see any game action in his first year at LSU in 2009.

"We wish Chris the best," Miles said. "There are no hard feelings. Chris is a good kid. We hope he has success wherever he ends up."
