BATON ROUGE - Former LSU football great and current Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bradie James and his organization, Foundation 56, will host the second annual "Tailgating for the Fight Against Breast Cancer" Thursday at 6 p.m. CT in the Stadium Club inside Tiger Stadium.
The tailgating event will feature music, food and an extravagant silent auction with many great items, including several outstanding memorabilia items signed by the entire Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints team as well as items signed by Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and head coach Sean Payton.
The auction will also include a seven day/six night stay in a Hawaii condominium.
Admission to the event is only $56, and all proceeds will go to Foundation 56 for its fight against breast cancer.
People interested in attending the event or who would like more information can RSVP by calling 225-387-6126 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event serves as a tailgate party for the third annual Etta James Memorial gymnastics meet Friday between top-10 ranked LSU and Oregon State. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Foundation 56 was founded by James, who lost his mother, Etta, to breast cancer in 2002. Since that time James has made a personal pledge to help in the fight against the disease. James began the Foundation 56/Soul Survivors Fund with the specific purpose of supporting breast cancer awareness and screenings.
