BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s basketball program had six of its former standouts which included Seimone Augustus, Sylvia Fowles, Allison Hightower, Temeka Johnson, Shanece McKinney and Theresa Plaisance on WNBA rosters during the 2014 regular season.

Augustus and the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx came away with a two-game sweep of the San Antonio Stars during the western conference semifinals. She was the team’s third-leading scorer in the series fueled by a 21-point effort on 10-of-14 shooting in game two. Augustus tallied 15 of the 21 points during the second half as Minnesota overcame an 18-point first quarter deficit.

Fowles posted a pair of double-doubles to catapult the Chicago Sky over the top-seeded Atlanta Dream in the eastern conference semifinals. She poured in 13 points to go along with 15 rebounds and four steals during the decisive third game of the series. The Sky wiped away a 17-point fourth quarter hole while a Fowles putback and free throw in the final 90 seconds brought Chicago back within one point before taking the win during the closing seconds.

LSU is accepting $20 season ticket deposits online at http://www.lsutix.net/. The $20 deposit will go toward the purchase of a season ticket or mini-plan for the 2014-15 season. Renewals for current season ticket holders also are available through the LSU Athletic Ticket Office.
