LSU Remains No. 12 in Director's Cup Standings

BATON ROUGE -- LSU continued to hold on to the No. 12 spot in the latest U.S. Sports Academy Director’s Cup Standings, which were released following the conclusion of the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships. 

LSU currently stands in 12th place overall with a total of 764.50 points. Stanford ranks first with 1,348 points, followed by Michigan (958), Ohio State (934.75), Penn State (912) and Texas (894.50).

Florida ranks highest among Southeastern Conference teams, coming in ninth place with 823.75 points. Other SEC teams in the top 25 include Georgia at No. 14 with 756.25 points, Tennessee at No. 16 with 717.75 points, and Auburn at No. 24 with 532.75 points.

The latest Director’s Cup Standings factor in final results in the sports of women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s volleyball, women’s water polo and men’s and women’s lacrosse.

LSU recent point additions came in the sports of women’s golf (60 points for 15th place), men’s tennis (50 points for 17th place) and women’s tennis (50 points for 17th place).

LSU will add points in the next release of the standings in the sports of men’s golf, softball, baseball and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field.
