Bertman Expected to Return Home from Hospital Tuesday

BATON ROUGE -- LSU Senior Associate Athletics Director Herb Vincent issued the following statement from the NCAA Baseball Regional concerning Athletics Director Skip Bertman's condition after being hospitalized on Saturday afternoon.

Monday, June 2, Update

"Coach Bertman is still resting and recovering in the hospital.  He is expected to be released on Tuesday afternoon."

Sunday, June 1, Update

"Coach Bertman experienced no complications following his procedure on Saturday. He is sitting up, reading and watching television. He has been in ICU since the procedure and is scheduled to move to a private room Sunday afternoon. It is possible he could be released to go home as early as Monday or Tuesday."

Saturday, May 31, Update

“Coach Skip Bertman was at home today experiencing some discomfort this afternoon and chose to go to the hospital. He was showing the early signs of a heart attack. He had blockage in one of the main arteries to the heart. Coach Bertman had a stint placed in his heart and the procedure was successful. He is now is the hospital resting comfortably and will be there for several days. Thank you.”
