BATON ROUGE -- Come next fall, LSU fans will have a new facility to buy LSU merchandise as ground has been broken on the new Tiger Gift Center, associate athletic director Eddie Nunez announced.
The new Tiger Gift Center will cover 5,000 square feet and carries a price tag of 1.7 million dollars. The new gift center will be located next to Mike the Tiger’s habitat on the grounds of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
“This project has been long overdue,” LSU director of athletics Skip Bertman said. “We are excited to finally get this facility moving forward in hopes of having it ready for our fans to enjoy at some point during the fall. “
The designer for the project was Ford/Dickinson with D’Honore’ Construction serving as the contractor. Nunez said the project is expected to take seven months to complete.
