CBS 'Early Show' Airs Live from Tiger Stadium

BATON ROUGE -- Dave Price, CBS "The Early Show" weather anchor and feature reporter, filmed multiple segments live on LSU's campus on Friday, Oct. 5, to showcase LSU tailgating traditions. The show aired from 68 a.m.; 7-9 a.m. on WAFB channel 9 in Baton Rouge.

Hundreds of LSU students and fans attended, wearing their best purple and gold gear and giving the nation a taste of the full LSU tailgating experience.

Those attending were able to take part in each nationally broadcast weather spot.

Participants reported to the west stadium parking lot near the plaza and the bronze statue of Mike the Tiger at 5:30 a.m.

Also featured was one of the quintessential LSU tailgating crews, Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden, the LSU cheerleaders, the LSU Tiger Marching Band and Mike the Tiger.
