BATON ROUGE – The unofficial start to football season begins today as LSU head coach Ed Orgeron and three key members of the 2017 Tigers head to Hoover, Alabama for Southeastern Conference Media Days.

The four day event is headlined today by remarks from SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey along with representatives from LSU, Arkansas and Tennessee. On Tuesday, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Florida take the stage, followed by Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky and Texas A&M on Wednesday. SEC Media Day concludes on Thursday with South Carolina, Ole Miss and Auburn.

Orgeron will be joined at the afternoon-long event by senior wide receiver D.J. Chark, junior running back Derrius Guice and senior defensive end Christian LaCouture.

Orgeron gets this started for LSU at 2:30 p.m. today when he spends 30 minutes with the print media in the main auditorium. Orgeron's comments can be seen on the SEC Network this afternoon as well as on the Watch ESPN app. The SEC Network will have live coverage of SEC Media Day today from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Orgeron is also scheduled to be on the SEC Network set with Paul Finebaum.
