Finished 40th in his collegiate debut at the David Toms Intercollegiate during the fall season while posting a final score of 16-over 232 ... One of the top recruits in the state of Louisiana in the Class of 2016 … Cemented his position as one of the state's top junior golfers by capturing the Louisiana High School Athletics Association Division I State Championship with a brilliant performance at The Farm d'Allie in Carencro … Crowned the LHSAA Division I State Champion with an 11-shot victory as the only player in the field to finish under par in the 36-hole event … Fired rounds of 5-under par 67 in the first round and 4-under par 68 in the second round to finish at 9-under par and win the state title … Guided C.E. Byrd High School while maintaining a 3.85 grade-point average during his prep career … Member of the National Honor Society … Ranked No. 50 in his senior class of 500 students at C.E. Byrd High School … Chosen by the faculty to be on his school's Student Advisory Council all four years of high school … A member of the Byrd's Student Council, Hive Leader for the student section at football and basketball games, Flag Runner for the football team as a junior and senior and secretary of the school's Key Club service organization … Staff member of High Life, Byrd's student newspaper, serving as the sports editor during his senior year … Plans to major in petroleum engineering at LSU.
