BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - LSU gymnast Susan Jackson and Alabama football player Mark Ingram have been named the 2009-2010 Roy F. Kramer SEC Female and Male Athletes of the Year by a vote of the league's athletics directors, Commissioner Mike Slive announced today.

NEW ORLEANS - LSU all-Americans Susan Jackson of the gymnastics team and Louis Coleman of the baseball squad were named Thursday as the winners of the Corbett Awards by the Allstate Sugar Bowl and the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame.

Many people have a moment or a day that stands out as one they wish they could forget or wish it never happened. For LSU senior gymnast Summer Hubbard that day was Oct. 9, 2008.

Susan Jackson was destined for gymnastics. As a toddler in Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston, Jackson made the house her own personal gym, and no piece of furniture was safe from her adventurous exploits.

BATON ROUGE - Forty-six LSU student-athletes representing 14 Tiger sports were among students who participated in spring commencement ceremonies held Friday on LSU's campus. Football's David Impastato graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biological sciences, while tennis's Sloane Mathis graduated Cum Laude with a degree in kinesiology.
