GREENSBORO, N.C. – The LSU Track & Field teams enjoyed an outstanding day of qualifying in Thursday's opener at the 2013 NCAA East Preliminary Rounds as five Tigers and Lady Tigers earned their spot in the NCAA semifinals with their effort in field-event action held at Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T University.

BATON ROUGE – The 2013 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set to kick off this weekend as the LSU Track & Field teams make the trip to Greensboro, N.C., to compete in the first round and quarterfinals at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds beginning Thursday at North Carolina A&T's Irwin Belk Track.

BATON ROUGE – Former NCAA hurdles champion Barrett Nugent and reigning SEC champions Damar Forbes and Laura Carleton highlight 16 graduates by the LSU Track & Field program as seven Tigers and nine Lady Tigers took part in spring commencement ceremonies on Thursday and Friday on the LSU campus.

BATON ROUGE – After leading the LSU Track & Field teams with their gold-medal-winning performances at the 2013 SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, seniors Kimberlyn Duncan and Damar Forbes were honored on Friday afternoon as recipients of SEC postseason awards in a vote of the league's head coaches.

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Track & Field program learned Thursday afternoon that 51 entries between the men's and women's programs have received qualification for the 2013 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships as North Carolina A&T University will host the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds on May 23-25 in Greensboro.
