Sprinter Martin Advances to World Junior Final
IAAF World Junior Meet
EUGENE, Ore. Lady Tiger freshman Jada Martin will sprint for a place on the medal podium during Friday's action at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships after advancing to the final of the women's 200-meter dash with her performance in Thursday's qualifying rounds of the event at Oregon's Hayward Field.

EUGENE, Ore. Lady Tiger freshman Rebekah Wales was the first of the LSU Track & Field contingent to compete at this year's IAAF World Junior Championships as she stepped onto the javelin runway in Tuesday's opener at Oregon's Hayward Field as she threw a series best of 154 feet, 2 inches on her first throw for a 24th-place finish in the competition.

BATON ROUGE Three LSU Lady Tigers will step onto the world stage this week as freshmen Jada Martin and Rebekah Wales and Class of 2014 recruit Daeshon Gordon make the trip to Eugene, Oregon, to compete against the very best junior athletes from across the globe at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships beginning Tuesday at Oregon's Hayward Field.
