BATON ROUGE After leading the Tigers to the 2015 national championship, Golfweek's National Coach of the Year Chuck Winstead is set to be honored by the Greater New Orleans Sports Awards Committee as the Outstanding College Coach in the state of Louisiana as part of the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame Banquet on Aug. 8.

BATON ROUGE While LSU's senior All-American Ben Taylor was making his major championship debut at The 144th Open Championship at St. Andrews this week, former Tiger standout Andrew Loupe was back here in the United States earning his second career PGA TOUR top-10 finish by tying for sixth place at the Barbasol Championship in Opelika, Alabama.

BATON ROUGE LSU's senior All-American Ben Taylor rebounded from an opening 10-over par 82 in Thursday's first round by firing a 1-over par 73 in Friday's second round to finish off his major championship debut with an appearance at The 144th Open Championship being held this week at The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland.
