BATON ROUGE – LSU's All-SEC and all-region performer Curtis Thompson continues to pile up the postseason honors in the wake of his breakout sophomore season with the Tigers in 2012-13 as he recently picked up his first career All-America honor with an honorable mention selection by Golfweek this past weekend.

BATON ROUGE – After opening the championship with a tournament-low 5-under par 67 in Friday's first round, LSU signee Eric Ricard fired back-to-back rounds of 2-under par 70 on Saturday and Sunday to take the title at the rain-shortened 94th Louisiana Golf Association Amateur Championship held at Shreveport's Southern Trace Country Club.

BATON ROUGE – In the wake of their third appearance at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships in four seasons, the LSU Tigers have strengthened their squad for the 2013-14 season with the addition of the premier player in the NCAA Division II ranks as Ben Taylor is set to transfer following two seasons at Nova Southeastern University.

LAKE CHARLES, La. – LSU sophomore golfer Curtis Thompson has been named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Men's Golfer of the Year while on the women's side, Tulane's Maribel Porras earned Women's Golfer of the Year honors as the two headline the 2013 All-Louisiana golf teams voted on by school sports information directors.

ATLANTA, Ga. – Junior Smylie Kaufman set the pace for the Tigers for the second-straight day as he posted a team-leading 1-over par 71 along with sophomore teammate Stewart Jolly as 17th-ranked LSU wrapped up Thursday's final round of stroke play in a tie for 23rd place at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships.
