BATON ROUGE – The LSU Track & Field staff continue to accept RSVPs as the Tigers and Lady Tigers are set to host their fifth-annual LSU Track & Field Team Awards and Alumni Recognition Banquet this fall as the event will be held at the Carl Maddox Field House on Friday, Oct. 24, ahead of LSU's football game against Ole Miss.

BATON ROUGE – LSU Track & Field alumnus Richard Thompson anchored the favored Americas to the gold medal in the men's 4x100-meter relay final at the 2014 IAAF Continental Cup on Sunday while crossing the finish line in 37.97 seconds for the fastest time ever run on African soil in the event held at the Grand Stade in Marrakech, Morocco.

BATON ROUGE – Junior sprinter Vernon Norwood became the third LSU Tiger to win a gold medal at this year's North American, Central American & Caribbean Under-23 Championships when he anchored the United States to an easy victory in the 4x400-meter relay during Sunday's finale in the event held this weekend in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

BATON ROUGE – An LSU Tiger struck gold for the second-straight day at the 2014 North American, Central American & Caribbean Under-23 Championships as junior Aaron Ernest ran on the winning 4x100-meter relay for the United States, while fellow junior Vernon Norwood won the bronze medal in the 400-meter dash on Saturday in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
