BATON ROUGE – As the LSU Soccer team prepares for another challenging SEC season in 2013, the Tigers will face a non-conference slate featuring a home match with 2012 Elite Eight qualifier BYU before and a trip to the Minnesota Gold Classic to battle Minnesota and Southern California as part of their 19-game schedule announced Thursday.

BATON ROUGE – A trio of LSU Soccer players took part in Saturday's "Relay for Life" held at the LSU Parade Grounds as rising seniors Megan Kinneman and Danielle Murphy and redshirt freshman Mariel McLaughlin helped celebrate cancer survivors and raise funds to fight back against the disease that impacts so many each day.

BATON ROUGE - Tiger junior Natalia Gomez-Junco made history with her two appearances for Mexico at the 2013 Algarve Cup held last week as she became LSU's first footballer to earn an international cap at the senior level while competing against Wales and Portugal in the event held March 6-13 in Algarve, Portugal.

BATON ROUGE - The LSU Soccer program is recognized for its community service efforts each year as part of the Tiger Athletic Foundation Academic Excellence Gala, and rising senior Alex Ramsey was honored during Monday's festivities as the 2012 TAF Female Volunteer of the Year for her leadership in the Baton Rouge community.

BATON ROUGE - LSU's Class of 2013 recruit Natalia Gomez-Junco has an opportunity to make history as the first Tiger to earn an international cap as she competes for the senior Mexican Women's National Team over the next week at the 2013 Algarve Cup hosted by the Portuguese Football Federation.
