BATON ROUGE -- The 2009 SEC champion LSU volleyball program will be recognized for its accomplishments during Thursday's men's basketball game against No. 14 Tennessee at the Maravich Center.

BATON ROUGE - Former LSU libero Elena Martinez will continue her volleyball career professionally in Puerto Rico as a member of Llaneras de Toa Baja. She left Saturday to report to training camp.

BATON ROUGE - Former LSU middle blocker Brittnee Cooper is one of 18 players selected to train with the United States Women's National Team Team during its second winter training block. The session begins Monday and ends on April 9 held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The LSU volleyball program closed the 2009 season with a No. 19 ranking in the final edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association [AVCA] Top 25 poll Tuesday released by the governing body of collegiate volleyball. The Tigers recorded a final ranking for the first time since wrapping up the 1992 season at No. 12 in the nation.
