Leading up to training camp buffalobills.com will profile each of the Bills' undrafted rookie free agents in an effort to familiarize the dedicated Bills fan about some of the more obscure players on the roster. Our seventh installment is punter/kicker Chris Jackson.
For a college athlete it isn't easy to compile a career punting average of 41 yards per kick or to finish with a top ten field goal percentage at your school. It is just as difficult to produce a career batting average of .298 with 32 RBI, 51 runs and two home runs.
Unless you are Chris Jackson.
A two sport athlete at LSU, Jackson handled the kick-off, punting and field goal duties for the Tigers in the fall and would suit up and play either second or third base in the spring. It was a juggling act that gave Jackson no offseason.
"At times my legs would get tired faster, but after the first two years it got a little easier," said Jackson.
