BATON ROUGE -- LSU senior basketball player Garrett Temple has been awarded a postgraduate scholarship as LSU’s recipient from the 2008-09 Brad Davis SEC Community Service Postgraduate Scholarship program.
The award provides $3,000 scholarship for postgraduate studies at the institution of Temple’s choice at any time over the next five years.
The award recognizes efforts of student-athletes at each institution in the community, classroom and competition. Temple earlier in the week was named a member of the 2009 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll and was part of the Tigers’ 2009 SEC Championship team. He is one of just nine players in LSU history to have played on two SEC regular season championship teams in their careers.
