BATON ROUGE - For her outstanding performance against eighth-ranked Oregon State last week, LSU All-American gymnast Susan Jackson was named Southeastern Conference Co-Gymnast of the Week by the league office Tuesday.
Jackson, ranked No. 1 nationally in the all-around, earned the honor for the second time this season and third of her career.
Jackson shared the honor with Arkansas senior Casey Jo Magee.
A senior from Spring, Texas, Jackson led 10th-ranked LSU to an upset victory over Oregon State as the Tigers scored a season-high 196.925 and increased the home unbeaten streak to 5-0 this season.
Jackson won the all-around for the eighth time in nine meets with a 39.650 total, her second-highest score of the season.
She anchored all four events and captured the vault and floor titles with a 9.925 on each event. Jackson also posted 9.90's on bars and beam.
LSU will compete against Iowa on Senior Night at 7 p.m. Friday in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
