BATON ROUGE -- The NIT Season Tip-Off has announced the game times for the semifinal matchups at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the LSU Tigers and Connecticut Huskies will play the opening game at 6 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
The matchup between the second-seeded and 13th-ranked Huskies and the No. 3 seeded Tigers will be televised by ESPN2.
Both teams have opened the year 3-0 with LSU defeating Indiana State and Western Kentucky to advance from the South Region in Baton Rouge, while UConn downed Colgate and Hofstra to advance from the North Region in Storrs, Conn.
In the 8 p.m. second semifinal No. 1 seed Duke will take on fourth seed Arizona State. That game will also be televised by ESPN2.
The Nov. 27 schedule will have the consolation game televised by ESPN2 beginning at 1:30 p.m. and the championship game of the preseason NIT will be televised by ESPN beginning at 4 p.m.
